Types of Mops: Which One Should You Buy?
Not sure whether you need a spin mop, a twist mop or an electric mop? Here's a quick breakdown of the most popular mop types shoppers search for.
Steel Wringer Spin Mop
A rotating steel basket inside the bucket wrings the mop head almost dry with a few handle pumps — durable, and the mechanism this Spotzero by Milton Prime mop uses.
Plastic / Twist Mop
A budget-friendly manual mop twisted or squeezed by hand to remove water. Lightweight and inexpensive, but slower on large floor areas.
Magic Mop / Foot-Pedal Mop
Uses a foot pedal to spin or wring the mop head so your hands stay dry — common in budget and mid-range "magic mop" bucket sets.
Flat & Turbo Mops
Slim, flat microfiber mop heads that slide under low furniture — better suited to quick daily dry sweeps than deep wet mopping.
Electric / Automatic Spin Mop
A motorised spin mop that wrings the head at the press of a button — convenient, though typically pricier and needs charging.
Twin-Bucket Spin Mop
Separates a wash compartment from a wring/drain compartment so you're never re-dipping into dirty water — the twin-bucket system this Spotzero Prime mop is built around.
